      TEST TECHNICIANS AND FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERS

Requirements:

We are looking for qualified service-oriented people with 5+ years of professional experience in testing and maintaining medium to high voltage power distribution & transmission equipment in utility substations including circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, CCVT, capacitor banks, regulators and protective relay systems.  This role also requires a strong commitment to safety and positive “team” attitude.

      Responsibilities include:

      Part of a team responsible for completion of assign electrical tests in a safe, efficient, and professional manner (generally this involves testing and maintenance of medium to high voltage equipment in a substations or switchyard of utility clients). Completes assigned testing tasks; capturing and recording of test data. Prepares test reports describing tests performed, results, discrepancies or problems encountered, and recommendations.

      RELAY TEST TECHNICIANS

      Requirements:

      •    5+ years of professional experience in testing, trouble-shooting and maintaining Micro-Processor and Electro-Mechanical Relays (GE, SEL…) in medium to high voltage utility environments
      •    Proven track-record of testing using Doble and/ or Omicron test sets (preferable 3-phase)
      •    Experience with Power Line Carrier Equipment
      •    Must take pride in work and possess a positive attitude with commitment to safety
      •    Candidates must be self-starters with good working knowledge of electromechanical equipment  and relay logic.


      COMMISSIONING ENGINEERS

      Requirements:

      •    Proven professional performance (7+ years) as a Commissioning Engineer, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning medium to high voltage protective relays for electrical substations within utility environments
      •    Solid experience with the following equipment: transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, CCVT, carrier and protective relay systems
      •    Intensive knowledge and experience in protection schemes, test plans and implementation of same within utility substations


      TRANSMISSION PROTECTION AND CONTROL ENGINEERS

      Requirements:

      •    Power Engineering or Electric Utility Transmission & Distribution Background
      •    Familiarity with digital protection, control & communication concepts
      •    Significant experience with Transmission Protection at 345 and /or 115 kv
      •    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required
      •    Professional use of fault study software
      •    Experience in development of detailed drawing packages, including One-Line Metering & Relaying Diagrams, AC Three-Line Diagrams, DC Schematics, Panel Arrangements
      •    Directional over-current and step distance protection coordination studies
