American Electrical Testing Co., Inc.(AETCO) services to T&D clients include: acceptance testing, commissioning and maintenance of substations, breakers, switches, protective relays, transformers, SCADA and powerline carrier equipment.

AETCO works directly with Utilities or with T&D contractors as a subcontractor-proving acceptance testing and commissioning on new substations covered under capital projects. Projects include interfacing new and old systems, creation of as built drawings, final function tests, alarm & trip tests and final phasing in.


AETCO also provides services for special maintenance projects, staffing augmentation and emergency service. AETCO successfully completed a fast track program to restore reliability to a major metropolitan network; the project included performing testing maintenance and overhauls for 360 network protectors within a 3-month period. Other projects include 3-year substation maintenance contracts at municipals, transformer repairs, load tap changer repairs and maintenance, repairs and maintenance to oil filled and SF6 circuit breakers and high voltage disconnect switches.
